Laurent Opman has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate acquisition, development, repositioning and operations with a combined total transactional value well in excess of $350 Million. As a principal of KOAR, he has been involved with the acquisition, development, financing, operation and sale of real estate projects including office buildings, retail centers, medical office buildings, self storage, mixed-use, golf course and land development. Prior to KOAR, Laurent was a principal of the Trident Group, a Los Angeles based real estate development company specializing in retail development.
In addition to his real estate activities, Laurent is a founding partner in JP International, a China based holding company with activities in consulting, education, telecommunications and agriculture, Storage Etc., a self storage development and management company and CapHarbor, LLC, a real estate exchange solutions company.
Formerly a practicing real estate attorney, Bruce Rothman is a principal of KOAR and has been involved in the real estate industry for nearly 35 years. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Bruce practiced corporate securities and real estate law in Los Angeles. During these 35 years, Bruce has participated as a principal or real estate investment banker in deals valued in excess of $2 Billion. He has extensive investment experience in nearly every real estate product type. Bruce is a founding member of Storage, Etc., a self-storage development and operating company based in Los Angeles, as well as a founder of CapHarbor, LLC, a real estate exchange solutions company.
As a Los Angeles native, Bruce received a bachelor's degree in psychology from UCLA and a J.D. degree from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California. He is a member of the California State Bar, is admitted to practice law in all California courts and is a licensed real estate broker in California.
With over 12 years in the real estate industry, Sonam has extensive experience investing in and developing office, multifamily, industrial, hotel, and retail properties. Prior to joining KOAR, Sonam lead expansion for WeWork on the West Coast and practiced as a real estate attorney focused on joint venture investments in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at JPMorgan in New York. Sonam earned his A.B. from Harvard University and J.D. and MBA from Duke University. 
As Senior Analyst of KOAR, Chris is responsible for assistance in the company’s acquisitions, leasing, asset management, and business operations. Prior to joining KOAR, Chris was an analyst at Kosmont Companies, a real estate, financial advisory and economic development services firm focused on real estate and financial advisory, economic development strategies, and public / private project transactions. During his time at Kosmont Companies, Chris was responsible for deal structuring, development, project and market analysis, and strategic policy decisions.
As a Southern California native, Chris received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Southern California.
As Vice President of KOAR, Jay is involved in each aspect of the company including acquisitions, development, leasing, management, and operations.  Prior to joining KOAR, Jay was an Associate at Weston Growth Capital, a growth equity and venture capital firm backed by the Weston family, which focused on making investments in ground-breaking consumer-facing companies. Previously, Jay was the Interim CFO of XXIV Karat Wines, an innovative champagne manufacturer, for which he helped lead its sale to a strategic buyer. 

Prior to his work in private equity, Jay was one of the founding investors of Waiakea (Series C, current value of $75M), as well as founded a few smaller ventures. Jay earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California as a cum laude graduate.
